ARTWORK
The main objective of this image is to provoke questions in the mind of the viewer. Above all, it raises a fundamental question: where is power? In society?
I believe that power is in the hands of women, because it is they who drive this power
society forward. All the essential unpaid work they do would remain undone if it were to be remunerated.
Patriarchy exerts a strong influence on society, but it is not a natural phenomenon but an imposed and sustained structure. Only when we start questioning the legitimacy of this power will we be able to achieve real progress significantly.
I hope that this image will encourage those who consider it to question the established order.
Where is the power?
Sigmund Freud, and later Jacques Lacan, drew a distinction between the penis (an organ) and the phallus (a symbol of authority and power that circulates through culture independent of anatomy). Judith Butler went further, asking if the phallus can be worn, borrowed, or reassigned altogether, does that upset the idea that masculine power has any natural, original owner.
Here, the phallus is silicone. Not flesh, not threat, just a symbol.
Does the patriarchal power survive the substitution? Does authority require the organ, or only the shape of it? And what happens when the hand that holds it is not seeking to wield it, but to feel pleasure from it - turning a symbol of control into a source of her own delight (and rendering the original unnecessary)? Perhaps in this way we can render the original unnecessary and reveal patriarchal power for what it always has been: not real, merely symbolic.

Ken Goddard
The artist Ken Goddard participates in Galeria Espai Cavallers
In his work, the game of reflections becomes key to enhancing contrasts and incorporating elements that remain outside the frame. Likewise, fog, calitja and clouds are used as tools to transmit unique moods and atmospheres.
Its aesthetic is nourished by lines, angles and geometric shapes that guide the viewer towards imaginary spaces, using contrasts to demonstrate the human footprint in nature. He finds great beauty in the decay of the abandoned machines and buildings, witnesses of the passage of time that invite fabulation. On the other hand, he sees graphite as a powerful tool to fill urban gray with colour and encourage reflection. Through unusual perspectives, he manages to decontextualize everyday life, revealing extraordinary details that often go unnoticed by the majority.
Over the past decade, it has channeled its own internal battles and its process of overcoming towards a therapeutic purpose in working with customers. The purpose is as simple as it is transformative: to help them recognize the beauty that already inhabits them. This accompaniment generates a subtle but profound change; on leaving, many finally feel confident about hanging portraits of themselves in their home, proudly exposed to the eyes of everyone.
This initiative has taken shape under the name Body Project. After all, its ultimate goal is not simply to capture images, but to conceive an art that moves consciences and awakens emotions in those who contemplate it.
