Description of the work

The work S /T VI (Lily Brick) is by the artist Lily Brick. It is a work made with mixed media on paper. It has dimensions of. 40 x 30 cm.

The artist Mireia Serra, the alter ego of Lily Brick (Lleida, 1990) studied a higher degree in graphic design. At the age of 24, he aroused his interest in street art. Previously, he had focused on billboards, graphic expression, advertising, and product design.

Since street art has become his craft. He has made more than 300 works in many different parts of the world, which bear Lily's signature. His work has attracted the attention of many people and has been viralized by the networks. We can highlight the large murals in Penelles, Juncosa, Granadella, Alcarràs, Tremp, El Cogul, as well as others in L'Hospitalet, Martorell, Ferrol, Málaga and Murcia, where he exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art. (MUBAM).

In 2018, Lily was the second finalist in the "Grafitti without gravity" of the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. His prize was to paint the space in weightless conditions. That year, several international art magazines highlighted her as one of the emerging artists, while her work on women with an "intense" look drew attention.

Since his introduction to the world of street art, the main techniques he has developed have been spray, acrylic paint, brushes and rollers.

For the past two years Lily has been researching different techniques, in a constant search to find the kind of expression that suits the freedom she feels with spray cans in outdoor spaces.

The latest small-scale exhibitions have been created from acrylics, enamels, watercolors, oils and digital painting.

Lily Brick

Mireia Serra, Lily Brick’s alter ego (Lleida, 1990) studied the Higher Degree in Graphic Design at the Leandre Cristòfol Municipal School of Art in Lleida. At the age of 24, he became interested in street art. Previously, his work had focused on billboards, graphic expression, advertising, and product design.

In June 2014, she attended an event on the banks of the Segre River in Lleida, where she was given a space to express herself and experiment with the spray technique, which completely captivated her.

Seven years later, street art has become his profession. More than 300 works in many different parts of the world bear Lily’s signature. Among his most notable pieces are the large murals made in Penelles, Juncosa, Granadella, Alcarràs, Tremp, El Cogul, as well as numerous other mural projects in Barcelona, ​​Martorell, Ferrol, Malaga and Murcia, where he exhibited at the Museo de Contemporary Art of Murcia (MUBAM).

In 2017, he began internationalizing his projects in France, with his participation in the Hotel 128 project. Subsequently, several projects arose, including murals in The Gambia, at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. at the Artscape Festival in Sweden, the Techfest IIT Bombay in India, the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany, and The Hague Street Art Festival in the Netherlands.

Of his murals, his work on women with a strong and intense gaze draws attention. Since his introduction to the world of street art, the main techniques he has developed have been spraying, acrylic painting, brushes and rollers.
