Lily Brik's work Sol de Ponent has a great meaning behind it. The artist tells us more about its meaning:

"The pride of the land, of reaping with our hands, of what we are like five hundred years ago, farmers and peasants with the essence of their land. October is coming, the cold and the end of the harvest, and with the setting sun as a warning of the end of a long day, we collect the boxes and the four remaining fruits we carry them, these are ours, for home and for us. A contemporary who makes her now, wears helmets, they give her rhythm and the music accompanies her while she works the land. She is a modern woman, a peasant woman, a country woman."
