Description of the work
The artwork But I will do it for me (Part 2/2) by the artist Inés Valls Fortuny.
Technique: Mixed media on canvas.
Measures: 80 x 110 cm.
The art piece belongs to the “TERRAMAR Collection”, a collection of abstract works inspired by Mediterranean Sea besides the Earth. A new Collection that invites to the observer to dialogue about love, pain, passion, joy and energy. It is an introspective work looking for the balance. This expressionist work, divided in two independent but complementary parts, is also looking the love and selflove.
But I will do it for me, the deep second part of the story also evokes a fragment of our Mediterranean Sea and Mountains. Depth, movement, passion, light and life are present through infinite brushstrokes in blue, aquamarine, brown and green
tones, intertwined with a palette of whites, gold and ivories that achieve a perfect symbiosis, providing warmth, harmony and calm. Crystal clear, deep and marine waters emerge towards the surface projecting life and movement, seeking the
dynamism of the work textured with clay, enveloping an eternal sea between mountains and rocks. This second part talks about protecting, loving and respect ourselves, from humility. Do the things for one self, giving love and light as much as possible to the people you truly love. Then, is possible to live in a positive bi directional love, a healthy relationship. Unique work signed on the front and ready to hang. As in all my work, beyond the decoration of a space, I aim to transmit sensations, awaken beautiful feelings.
I hope you enjoy your unique art piece very much.

Artist biography
Inés Valls Fortuny
Inés Vallsfortuny, born and settled in Barcelona.
Its language is abstract and is inspired by the elements of nature and the feelings they provoke in us
Life and love, calm and passion. Movement and rest.
Through a style characterized by texture, mixed media on canvas, and the use of gold and silver pigments, she captures precise moments that recreate aerial views of moving oceans, splashing wild beaches, dives into incredible seabeds, and the full moon in its most magical phase, along with amazing pink skies and a neutral palette that evokes eternal pieces of the sky
Her way of working is very close and personal.
She believes that the entire artistic process is a three-way dialogue:
“what I want to project, what the painting itself conveys through its personality, and the feelings that the piece evokes in the people who look at it”
“When that dialogue flows, it’s the most wonderful thing that can happen to me as an artist”
In terms of technique, the use of gold and silver allows the frame to take on very different dimensions that can be seen from three positions. Right, left and front.
Depending on the light that is reflected in the painting at that moment, the sparks are perceived in one way or another, giving movement and life to the work of art.
From pure intuition, without planning anything, she lets her own brushes and palettes guide her to create lively, timeless, exclusive and attractive collections in search of balance and harmony with the environment.
