The color and brushwork of his works flow with an intensity and power that does not pretend to describe reality or natural forms; but the very essence of the elements that, in gardens and forests, make possible the wonder of natural life.

Degree in Biological Sciences, specialization in Botany, from the University of Barcelona (1977).

He began painting in L. Finet's workshop in 1965.

In 1978, in parallel with his studies, he painted with Pablo Mañé in his workshop in Mataró. Later, in 1979; he begins to paint under the supervision of Josep Martínez Lozano and becomes part of the Cercle d'Art Sant Lluc de Barcelona. This same year he has his first solo exhibition at the Museum of Mataró and Maresme County. Since then, he has held several individual and group exhibitions, won several awards and participated in cultural events such as 'Unicef Art for Catalonia' at Palau Robert, 'Originals Solidaris' at Casa Ametller in Barcelona, Saló Internacional de la Val d'Or (France), etc.

Marta Duran Quintana (Mataró, 1955)

Painter, Biologist by training, at the same time she studies painting with the painters Pablo Mañé and Josep Maria Martínez Lozano. In 1980 he began exhibiting his work with the group Taller Pablo Mañé in Mataró, and won the first prize for painting in the Town of Tordera. The following year he held his first individual exhibition at the Maresme Regional Museum in Mataró.
