The artist Víctor Pedra participates in Galeria Espai Cavallers

 

He studied Fine Arts at the Faculty of the University of Barcelona from 1975 to 1980. He completed his training with courses in printmaking and ceramics at the same faculty. Between 1980 and 1982 he travelled around Europe to further his education and began working in sculpture. Over the years, sculpture has taken on greater importance in his work, and in the 1990s the painter Víctor Pedra created his first large-scale sculptures for outdoor spaces.

His artistic interests lead him to collaborate with the sculptor Josep Vilalta on jewellery design. In 2003, Víctor Pedra illustrated a collection of eight books by Isabel Allende for Plaza y Janés. Between 2012 and 2013, Víctor Pedra undertakes new projects such as the decoration of the floor and walls of the church of Alberola, in Lleida, and collaborates with Vins de Pedra, a family winery for which he designs the labels for their wines. In 2015 his designs, created in collaboration with Senyor Estudi for Vins de Pedra, were awarded a Bronze Laus Award. The Laus Awards enjoy great prestige both nationally and internationally and are organised by the FAD.

In 2016, Víctor Pedra collaborated with Torrons Alemany on the release of an illustrated box limited to 2,000 units. Torrons Alemany is a company that has been awarded the Great Taste Award, one of the most prestigious prizes in the delicatessen food sector.
