He comes from a family of painters, and started fresco painting in the workshop of his father Jaume Minguell i Miret.
He interprets this age-old technique with contemporary criteria to integrate painting into buildings, represent great themes and make the viewer the visual protagonist of his pictorial works.
Until 1995 he exhibited in various galleries and exhibitions in Catalonia, Spain, France and Italy. Large-format paintings that are placed in the context of the trans-avant-garde to evolve towards organic abstraction. From that year on, he oriented his artistic activity to fresco mural painting.
He has taught at the Academy of Fine Art in Carrara (2006), Lezio magistralis at the Academy of Fine Art in Firenze (2009, 2010), University of Barcelona (2010), Complutense University of Madrid (2009), management and teaching during 10 years of the mural painting summer course at the University of Lleida, master's degree in mural painting restoration at the Technical University of Valencia (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). Seminar at Hawaii Manoa University (2010). Annual grant for the writing of art pedagogy material from the Department of Education of the Generalitat (2009-2010).
