Corine Ko

Through my work, I celebrate the female figure as an inner journey, a passage through melancholy, from deep roots to the elevation of the soul. Each painting is a silent meditation on the passage of time, the fragility of the moment, and the ephemeral beauty of life.
Inspired by the golden sensuality of Gustav Klimt, the diaphanous grace of Marie Laurencin, and the refined elegance of Japanese art, I work with highly diluted acrylics while exploring mixed media techniques. I incorporate paper collages, photographs, and Japanese paper into my creations, enriching the textures and poetic resonances of my compositions.
Each woman I depict becomes a visual poem: she embodies both the invisible strength of her roots and the aspiration toward spiritual elevation. Between matter and transparency, my works invite intimate contemplation, an inner breath where poetry, sweetness, and meditation intertwine.
